TEAM UPDATE: April 11, 2007
T4U (Team Thrown Together and Throwing Up): I was able to update the Wild Miles Course and leg assignments (click on link to view). On that particular web page, you can now go in and see all the leg assignments, their mileage and brief descriptions. If you click on a particular leg's mileage/description, it will allow you to see a small jpeg of the leg of the course. Enjoy and be sure to share this website with your family and friends. What you are about to undertake is not done by many each year and you should be proud! Other than that, take time each day to stretch out and stay loose. Don't increase your weekly mileage much at all - we're too close to the race (and don't forget, we have our trusty alternate Chuck Fabijanic if any runner needs assistance on a particular race leg). Be double checking the equipment list and be sure to start pulling your items together in a small duffle bag - don't wait until the last minute. And finally, be sure pack the most important item, first: your sense of adventure and your sense of humor. We're a fun team and we want to stay that way. We want to interact with every team on the WMR and we want them to walk away, saying, "Who are those crazy people?" So, come to have fun!
As I stated yesterday, I am going to post a list of items/gear that are going to be needed by the collective group. If you are able to bring any of the following items, please email me. The names following the items are those individuals who have agreed to bring them. If you think of other items that should be added to the list, please email me as well. Here's the list:
Check this Team Gear Request List, as it will be in each update from now on - there may be new items added and needed. Be sure to put your name on those durable goods (i.e. coolers, running vests, flashlights, etc.) as it will make it SO much easier to clean out the vans at the end of the race and get gear back to the appropriate owner.
TEAM INTRODUCTIONS Come on, what are you afraid of?! We're still waiting to hear from you! So, take a minute to read the questions below and respond to each of them. Then when you send your answer (by replying to "everyone" on this email) to the entire team. Your answers don't need to be long - it's a blast just to know who you are and what motivates you. Here's the questions: 1. What made you decide to run the Wild Miles Relay? And if you're returning, what made you want to return? 2. Tell us a little about you. 3. What motivates you as a runner? 4. What are some of your favorite hobbies? 5. What do you hope to get out of the Wild Miles Relay? ---------------------------------------- Peace and happy jogging, Lee Team Thrown Together and Throwing Up at the End of the Road Website Home - Teammates - Wild Miles Course - Team Schedule - Equipment - Photo Gallery - National Wild Miles |
