TEAM UPDATE: March 27, 2007 Addendum IT'S OFFICIAL! WE ARE NOW COMPLETE! Wild Miles Teammates: Jeff Windhorst has officially registered and we are now a complete team of ten runners and one trusty alternate! Welcome aboard to new and old! Now it's time to get down to business... TEAM
STATUS
Not to jinx us, but should your status on the team change due to conflicts at home, work, etc., please let Stacy Park and I know (emails below) as soon as possible. We'd love to have you on the team throughout the entire experience, but we know how Life can change. TEAM
CONTACT INFORMATION NEEDED
Okay, don't make me beg, people. There are several of you (Matt Allsopp, pay attention) that I still need (you too, Andrea Gonzalez) contact information concerning our team (even you, Stacy Park). Check out TEAM CONTACTS information spreadsheet (yes, even you, Steve Hansen) if you're not sure and email me, if you haven't done so yet: (1) your home phone (2) your cell phone (3) your emergency contact person (it could be your mommy if you want, James Gonzalez) and (4) emergency contact phone Email your information (of course, you two, Todd and Jeff) to me at leehoedl@yahoo.com PACE
TIMES NEEDED
Todd Heon and Jeff Windhorst, I am going to need your average 10K pace time so I can complete the team time spreadsheet. This is what the Wild Miles folks will use to determine our start time. Please send me this info ASAP - and if you're not sure, feel free to send me your average time for a 5K or half-marathon, and I'll do the rest. COURSE
LEG ASSIGNMENTS
The initial assignment of all 30 legs of the 2007 Wild Miles Course has been completed. Now it's up to you to barter, beg or trade any leg that may seem too daunting for you. BUT BEFORE YOU CONSIDER ANY CHANGES, please note that (1) I've assigned the legs so that you have enough time to recuperate by your next leg's challenge and (2) I've assigned the legs so as to balance out the overall mileage and course challenges across the team. Should you wish to change, please contact me first so that I have the most up-to-date assignment listing. When we all gather together on Friday afternoon/evening on April 27, I'll further explain how we'll utilize the leg assignments, pacing times and van leapfrogging along the entire course. EQUIPMENT
AND SUPPLIES
Be sure to review the posted EQUIPMENT LISTS and begin gathering your items for the race. More information will be soon coming concerning Friday's (April 27) accommodations and travel plans along the race course. Keep logging those miles and staying loose, as there are only... 31 DAYS AND COUNTING
