Here's a quick update with only 36 days until the start of the 2007 WILD MILES RELAY...

TEAM NAME

Okay, the time is running down quickly until race day, so it's now or never. So, first of all, Stacy, you need to check with the WILD MILES folks to see if we still have an opportunity for a name change.

If Stacy finds out that we can still change our name, we need your vote on one of the following:

1. Leave the team name as is (Team Thrown Together at the End of the Road)

2. Change the name (see team name/logo #1 above and team name/logo #2 below) to one of the two proposed.

3. Change the name and present your own idea: _____________

It will be a democratic process; the majority votes wins.

TEAM MEMBER RECRUITMENT

We are still in need of two more team members and we should get them on board SOON, so they can be "in the loop" as to information before the WILD MILES. I don't think I will be able to recruit any North Dakota runners at this late date, so it's up to all of you out there!

Please, please, please, let's get two more runners... otherwise, each of you will have to run an additional 4-5 miles over the entire course.

COURSE LEGS

I'm presently plugging in pace times and leg assignments. I will keep updating the spreadsheet and notify you as it is firmed up. Here is the initial assignments and pace times: TEAM COURSE WORKSHEET

Please note that the WILD MILES headquarters is still adjusting legs, so the ones assigned to you may end up being a little bit longer or short. As well, I've assigned runners so you follow the same teammate throughout the entire race - that way, as we tire, we'll still be aware of who runs next. Let me know if you would like to be assigned a different set of legs.

I've been informed that the course legs will be posted so you can visually see the leg and the distance. When those are posted, I'll notify you as well.

In the meantime, just keep jogging out there...
