Monday, December 11, 2006 Ah, to have that specific prayer or mantra with which to begin each week, each day, each moment. Just the right words and verbage to capture one's mood, hopes and expectations. Just the right language to frame one's journey on the road ahead... A Prayer for Everyday God, our Father in heaven, So far today I have done all right. I have not gossiped. I have not lost my temper. I have not been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, proud or overindulgent. I am very thankful for all of that... But in a few minutes, Lord, I am going to get out of bed, so please stay with me the rest of the day. Amen. |
